What Our Customers Say About Us.
Why Choose Brussels and Its Surrounding Areas?
Brussels offers an unusual combination of capital-city living, attractive residential neighbourhoods and easy access to the rest of Belgium and neighbouring European countries. For people relocating from the UK, it is particularly appealing because of its international population, employment opportunities, excellent transport connections and relatively short distance from Britain.
Popular Areas
Brussels is made up of 19 municipalities, each with its own character. Ixelles is one of the most popular areas with international residents, combining attractive residential streets with restaurants, cafés, shops and good connections to the European Quarter. Nearby Etterbeek is particularly convenient for people working around the EU institutions and has a mixture of apartments, traditional townhouses and family homes.
Uccle offers a noticeably greener and more residential environment, with larger properties, parks and quieter streets. It is particularly popular with families who want more space while remaining within easy reach of central Brussels.
Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and Woluwe-Saint-Lambert are also established family areas, offering parks, schools, shopping and good transport connections. Other popular choices include Saint-Gilles, known for its lively atmosphere and attractive architecture, and Schaerbeek, where buyers and renters can find everything from traditional townhouses to modern apartments.
International Community and Employment
Brussels is one of Europe’s most international cities. As the home of major European Union institutions, NATO and numerous international organisations and businesses, people relocate here from across Europe and the wider world.
French and Dutch are the official languages of the Brussels-Capital Region, although English is commonly used within many international workplaces. This can make the initial transition easier for people arriving from the UK while they become accustomed to life in Belgium.
Employment is particularly strong in areas connected with European institutions, professional services, finance, technology, communications and international business.
Schools and Family Life
Families have access to Belgian schools alongside a substantial selection of international and European schools. This is particularly useful for families relocating with children who want to continue their education in English or follow an international curriculum.
Brussels also has plenty of green space. Bois de la Cambre, Parc du Cinquantenaire and the extensive Sonian Forest provide a contrast to the busier central districts and help make the city attractive to families as well as professionals.
Restaurants and Social Life
Brussels has an excellent restaurant, café and bar scene, ranging from traditional Belgian establishments to restaurants reflecting the city’s international population. Areas such as Ixelles and Saint-Gilles are particularly lively, while the historic centre offers everything from traditional beer cafés to restaurants surrounding the Grand Place.
Belgian food, beer and chocolate may be internationally famous, but the city’s multicultural population means there is considerably more variety than the stereotypes suggest.
Transport and Connections
One of Brussels’ strongest advantages is its location. High-speed rail services connect the city with London, Paris, Amsterdam and other major European destinations, while Brussels Airport provides extensive international connections.
Within the city, residents have access to trains, metro services, trams and buses. This makes many residential areas practical for people who work centrally but prefer to live outside the busiest parts of Brussels.
Road connections are also excellent, with Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven and other Belgian cities readily accessible.
Moving to Brussels from the UK
The relatively short distance from the Channel ports makes Brussels particularly accessible for UK removals. However, the type of property and exact location can make a considerable difference when planning delivery.
Central apartments may have restricted parking, narrow streets, stairs, small lifts or limited loading space, while properties in more residential districts can offer considerably easier access. Providing details of parking, floor level, lifts and any access restrictions beforehand allows us to plan the most suitable vehicle and delivery arrangements.
For anyone moving from the UK, Brussels combines the opportunities and facilities of a major European capital with established residential neighbourhoods, international communities and exceptionally convenient connections back to Britain.
Our Removal Services
Our removal services include dedicated vehicles and flexible part-load groupage options, allowing us to provide the right service for anything from a few boxes to a complete household move.
Dedicated Luton Van
Ideal for: Apartments, student relocations and smaller household moves.
Our dedicated Luton vans offer approximately 18m³ of loading space with a payload of around 1,000kg, making them an ideal option for smaller household removals. Our standard service includes an experienced driver who assists with loading and unloading, with a second removal porter available where required.
As the vehicle is dedicated solely to your move, your belongings remain on the same van from collection through to delivery, with no transhipping or sharing of vehicle space with other customers.
Their smaller size makes Luton vans particularly useful for city and town moves, apartments and properties where access may be difficult for larger removal vehicles. Protective removal blankets and securing straps are used to protect and secure your belongings throughout the journey.
Dedicated 7.5 Tonne Removal Truck
Ideal for: 2–3 bedroom family homes and medium-sized household removals.
Our dedicated 7.5 tonne removal trucks provide approximately 33m³ of loading space with a payload of around 3,000kg, making them well suited to medium-sized household removals where a Luton van doesn’t provide sufficient capacity.
The vehicle is reserved solely for your removal, with your belongings remaining on the same truck from collection through to delivery. There is no transhipping or sharing of vehicle space with other customers, helping reduce unnecessary handling during the journey.
Professional loading and unloading assistance is included, with additional crew members available where required. The 7.5 tonne truck provides considerably more capacity than a Luton while still being a practical option for many residential locations where access for a larger 18 tonne vehicle may be more difficult.
Dedicated 18 Tonne Removal Truck
Ideal for: Large family homes and complete household relocations.
For larger household removals, our dedicated 18 tonne removal trucks provide approximately 55m³ of loading space with payloads of up to 9,000kg, making them particularly suitable for substantial moves involving larger quantities of furniture, appliances, boxes and personal belongings.
The truck is reserved exclusively for your removal, with your belongings remaining on the same vehicle from collection through to delivery, without being transferred or combined with other customers’ consignments.
Professional loading and unloading is included, with the appropriate removal crew arranged according to the size and requirements of your move. Access is particularly important with a vehicle of this size, so we’ll assess this in advance and can discuss alternative vehicle or shuttle arrangements where direct access isn’t possible.
Dedicated Vehicle Service
A dedicated removal vehicle provides the most direct and flexible option for moving your belongings. Depending on the size and weight of your move, we can provide a Luton van, 7.5 tonne truck or larger 18 tonne removal vehicle reserved exclusively for your relocation.
Your belongings remain on the same vehicle from collection through to delivery, with no transhipping or consolidation with other customers’ goods. This reduces unnecessary handling and gives us greater flexibility when arranging collection, transit and delivery around your requirements.
Dedicated removals can also provide faster transit times than groupage because the vehicle is travelling specifically for your move rather than coordinating several customers’ collections and deliveries along the route.
This service is particularly suitable for customers working to fixed dates, relocating for employment, moving larger households or simply wanting a direct door-to-door service with greater control over their collection and delivery schedule.
Part Load & Groupage
Our part-load and groupage removals provide a more economical alternative to a dedicated vehicle and can accommodate anything from a few boxes and individual pieces of furniture through to larger or complete household removals.
By combining several customers’ consignments travelling along similar routes, transport costs can be shared between the different moves. This can significantly reduce the cost compared with reserving an entire vehicle, particularly where collection and delivery dates are flexible.
We’ll coordinate your removal with other consignments travelling in the same direction and provide an estimated collection and delivery schedule. Your belongings are carefully protected, clearly identified and handled professionally throughout the journey.
Groupage isn’t limited to small moves. It can also be a cost-effective option for larger household removals where you don’t require a vehicle exclusively for your belongings and can offer some flexibility with your moving dates.
Tailored to Your Move
Every removal is different, which is why we tailor the service around your individual requirements rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package.
We’ll consider the volume and weight of your belongings, access at collection and delivery, your preferred dates and the level of assistance required before recommending the most appropriate vehicle and service. This could be a dedicated Luton van, 7.5 tonne or 18 tonne truck, or a more economical part-load and groupage service.
We can also arrange professional packing, export wrapping and additional loading or unloading assistance where required. Secure short- or long-term storage can be incorporated into your removal if your collection and delivery dates don’t coincide.
Whether you’re moving a few personal belongings or the contents of a complete family home, we’ll build the service around your move and provide a quotation based on your particular requirements.
Our Removals Process
-
The Key Is Establishing the Volume
The first step is establishing how much you have to move. You can send us a list of the items, photographs or a WhatsApp video, and we’ll use this to assess the volume. If you already know the approximate volume or the type of removal vehicle you require, we can quote on that basis instead.
We’ll also need to know where you’re moving from and to, along with any important access information at either property. This might include restricted parking, narrow roads, stairs, lifts or anything else that could affect the collection or delivery.
Once we understand your move, we’ll prepare a clear quotation based on the service you need and work with you to arrange suitable collection and delivery dates. Where customs procedures are required, we’ll advise you on the documents we need from you and take care of the customs work associated with your removal.
Once everything is arranged, you can leave the rest to us. Our team will take care of the collection, customs procedures where required, secure transport and delivery of your belongings, keeping you informed throughout and making the whole process as straightforward as possible.

Key Considerations When Moving Abroad
-
Documents, Dates and Planning Ahead
When moving your belongings abroad, it is important to start gathering the documents that may be required for customs clearance. Requirements vary between countries and according to your individual circumstances, but commonly requested documents can include a copy of your passport, a detailed packing list, proof of your previous residence and evidence of your new residence abroad.
As a useful starting point, we recommend having proof of residence covering the previous 12 months, details of your new address and a clear inventory of the household goods you are moving. Additional documents may be required depending on the destination and whether you are transferring your normal residence. Your move manager will advise you on the documentation required for your particular move and help you through the customs process.
It is also worth establishing your moving dates as early as possible. Think about the earliest date your belongings will be ready for collection, the latest date you need to leave your current property and the earliest date you can receive your belongings at your new home. This helps us plan the most suitable collection and delivery schedule.
If there is a gap between leaving one property and gaining access to the next, you may need storage as part of your move. Let us know when discussing your requirements and we can take this into account when planning your removal.

From collection through to delivery, we’ll take care of the details and make your move as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
Removals to Brussels FAQs
How do you move belongings from the UK to Brussels?
We collect directly from homes and businesses throughout the UK and transport belongings by road to Brussels. Depending on the size of your move and your preferred dates, we can provide either a part-load groupage service or a dedicated vehicle reserved entirely for your belongings.
How long does a dedicated removal to Brussels take?
Brussels is relatively close to the Channel ports, making it one of the quicker European destinations to reach from the UK. Dedicated vehicles can usually travel directly to Brussels following the Channel crossing and completion of the necessary customs procedures. Exact timings depend on your UK collection point, customs clearance, crossing times and permitted driver hours.
Do you offer part-load removals to Brussels?
Yes. Part loads are particularly suitable for smaller moves where collection and delivery dates are flexible. Your belongings share vehicle space with other customers moving in the same direction, helping to reduce the cost compared with booking a dedicated vehicle.
What customs documents do I need when moving to Brussels?
Household goods moving from Great Britain to Belgium require customs clearance. If you are transferring your normal residence to Belgium, you may be eligible for relief from import VAT and customs duty, subject to meeting the relevant conditions. We can advise you about the removal documentation required before collection.
Is it difficult to deliver furniture into central Brussels?
It can be. Some central streets have limited parking, restricted access or very little space for a larger removal vehicle. Apartment buildings can also have small lifts, staircases or lengthy carries from the vehicle. We ask for access information in advance so the correct arrangements can be made.
Can you arrange a smaller vehicle if my Brussels address has restricted access?
Yes. Where the main removal vehicle cannot safely or practically reach the property, a smaller vehicle can sometimes be used to shuttle belongings between the property and the larger vehicle. Any known parking, height, width or access restrictions should be mentioned when requesting your quote.
Do you cover Ixelles, Uccle, Etterbeek and the other Brussels municipalities?
Yes. We deliver throughout the Brussels-Capital Region, including Ixelles, Uccle, Etterbeek, Saint-Gilles, Schaerbeek, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert and the surrounding areas. We can also deliver to towns and residential areas outside Brussels itself.
Is a dedicated or part-load service better for moving to Brussels?
For a smaller move with flexible dates, part loading will usually be the more economical choice. A dedicated vehicle is better suited to larger household moves, customers with fixed collection or delivery dates, or anyone wanting the most direct service possible. We can recommend the best option once we know your approximate volume.
Can you collect for a Brussels removal from anywhere in the UK?
Yes. We arrange collections throughout England, Scotland and Wales. You do not need to bring your belongings to a depot. We collect from your property and arrange onward transport and delivery directly to your Brussels address.
Do you also provide removals from Brussels back to the UK?
Yes. We operate in both directions and can arrange removals from Brussels to the UK as either a part load or dedicated service. Customs clearance is also required when bringing household goods into the UK, and we can advise on the paperwork needed for the return move.
