Professional Removals to Poland: Make Your International Move with Confidence
Poland offers a diverse choice of destinations for people relocating from the UK, ranging from major commercial centres and historic cities to smaller communities surrounded by countryside. Whether you’re returning to Poland to be closer to family, relocating for employment or starting a new chapter overseas, careful preparation can make the transition considerably easier.
Warsaw is the country’s capital and largest city, offering extensive employment, business and cultural opportunities. Kraków combines an internationally recognised historic centre with a thriving modern economy, while cities such as Wrocław, Poznań, Łódź and Gdańsk provide their own distinctive mix of employment, education, entertainment and residential neighbourhoods. Poland also has plenty of options for people who would rather settle away from its largest urban areas.
The country’s location in Central Europe provides convenient connections with neighbouring European countries, while its varied landscape ranges from the Baltic coastline in the north to lakes, forests and mountainous areas further south. This variety means customers moving to Poland can choose between busy city living, suburban communities and quieter rural locations.
With depots throughout the UK and Europe, we can coordinate your relocation from anywhere in the UK to destinations throughout Poland and elsewhere in Europe.

Types of Removals to Poland
Every international move has different requirements. From a relatively small consignment of boxes and furniture to a complete family household, we’ll recommend the most suitable vehicle and transport service according to the volume and weight of your belongings, your moving dates, property access and available budget.
Dedicated Luton Van
Ideal for: Apartments and smaller household relocations.
Our dedicated Luton vans provide approximately 18m³ of loading space with a payload of around 1,000kg, making them a practical choice for smaller removals from the UK to Poland. They provide sufficient capacity for many apartment moves, personal relocations and customers who don’t need to transport the contents of an entire house.
Our standard service includes an experienced driver who assists with loading and unloading, while an additional removal porter can be arranged where necessary.
Because the van is allocated solely to your relocation, your possessions remain aboard the same vehicle from collection in the UK through to delivery at your Polish address. Your belongings don’t share loading space with another customer’s consignment.
The compact dimensions of a Luton can also make it useful when moving to urban properties or locations where access for larger removal trucks is restricted. Professional removal blankets and appropriate securing equipment are used to help protect belongings throughout transportation.
Dedicated 7.5 Tonne Removal Truck
Ideal for: 2–3 bedroom properties and medium-sized household moves.
For customers requiring greater capacity, our dedicated 7.5 tonne trucks offer approximately 33m³ of loading space and a payload of around 3,000kg. This makes them particularly suitable for medium-sized house removals to Poland involving furniture, appliances, boxes and other household possessions.
Your removal truck is reserved exclusively for your belongings, so your consignment stays together between collection and delivery rather than being combined with other customers’ goods. Avoiding unnecessary transfers also helps minimise additional handling during the journey.
Professional loading and unloading assistance is provided, with extra crew members available according to the requirements of the move. Furniture and household belongings are protected using professional removal blankets and appropriate securing equipment during transportation.
A 7.5 tonne vehicle provides considerably more capacity than a Luton while remaining a practical option for many residential streets and properties where access for our largest truck may be unsuitable.
Dedicated 18 Tonne Removal Truck
Ideal for: Large family homes and complete household relocations.
Our 18 tonne removal trucks are designed for larger international moves and provide approximately 55m³ of loading capacity. They provide substantial capacity for larger quantities of furniture, appliances, packed boxes and other household belongings.
The entire vehicle is dedicated to your removal to Poland, meaning your possessions remain together from your UK collection address until they reach their destination in Poland. They aren’t consolidated with another customer’s consignment or routinely transferred between vehicles during the journey.
Professional loading and unloading is provided, with the removal crew arranged according to the size and complexity of your relocation. Furniture and other household items are protected using professional removal blankets and appropriate securing equipment during transportation.
Because of the dimensions of an 18 tonne truck, we’ll consider access at both properties beforehand and discuss alternative arrangements if the vehicle cannot safely or practically reach either address.
Dedicated Vehicle Service
Choosing a dedicated removal vehicle to Poland gives you a direct and flexible way of transporting your belongings between the UK and Poland. We can allocate a Luton van, 7.5 tonne truck or larger 18 tonne vehicle depending on the size and weight of your consignment.
The vehicle is used exclusively for your relocation, so your furniture and personal possessions travel together from collection through to final delivery. There is no requirement to coordinate vehicle space with other customers or consolidate your belongings with several separate consignments.
Because the journey is arranged around one customer’s move, dedicated transport can also provide greater flexibility when coordinating collection and delivery. Transit can generally be more direct than with a groupage service where several collections and deliveries need to be incorporated into the route.
A dedicated vehicle can therefore be particularly useful for larger households, employment relocations, customers working towards fixed moving dates and anyone wanting greater control over their international removal schedule.
Part-Load & Groupage Removals
Our part-load removals to Poland provide a cost-effective solution when you don’t require an entire removal vehicle. They can be used for smaller consignments containing boxes or individual items of furniture as well as more substantial household moves.
Your belongings share vehicle capacity with other customers travelling on compatible European routes, allowing transportation costs to be shared between several consignments. This can make groupage considerably more economical than reserving a dedicated vehicle, particularly when you have some flexibility over collection and delivery dates.
Our team coordinates your consignment with other moves heading in the same direction and provides an estimated collection and delivery schedule.
Furniture and other household belongings are protected using professional removal blankets and appropriate securing equipment during transportation. Each customer’s consignment is also clearly identified to help keep belongings organised throughout the journey.
Groupage isn’t restricted to small consignments. Larger household moves can also benefit from shared transport when your belongings don’t fill a complete vehicle and your collection and delivery dates are reasonably flexible.
Tailored to Your Move
We don’t expect every removal to Poland from the UK to fit a standard package. Instead, we’ll look at the practical requirements of your relocation before recommending the combination of vehicle, transport and additional services that works best for you.
Important considerations include the overall volume and weight of your belongings, access at the UK and Polish properties, preferred dates and whether you need additional help with packing, loading or unloading.
Depending on these requirements, your move could use a dedicated Luton van, 7.5 tonne truck or 18 tonne removal vehicle. Alternatively, a part-load and groupage service may provide better value when you don’t require an entire vehicle.
For our road removal services, furniture and other household belongings can be protected using professional removal blankets and appropriate securing equipment within the vehicle. Professional packing and export wrapping can also be arranged where required for customers wanting additional protection or assistance.
We can also incorporate secure short- or long-term storage if there is a delay between leaving your existing property and moving into your new home.
From a few personal possessions to a full household relocation, we’ll create a moving plan based around your circumstances and provide a clear quotation for the services required.

Key Considerations When Moving to Poland
-
Visa and Residence Requirements:
British citizens who aren’t protected by the Withdrawal Agreement and move to Poland after Brexit are generally subject to the immigration rules applying to third-country nationals. If you’re planning a long-term move, check the appropriate residence and, where applicable, work arrangements for your circumstances before relocating.
-
Customs Procedures:
Household belongings arriving in Poland from Great Britain are entering the EU from a non-EU country and therefore require customs formalities. If you’re genuinely transferring your normal residence to Poland, qualifying personal possessions may be eligible for relief from customs duty provided the applicable requirements are satisfied.
-
Transfer of Residence Relief:
Polish customs guidance provides relief for qualifying personal property belonging to people transferring their normal residence from a country outside the EU. Non-consumable belongings must generally have been in your possession and used at your previous residence for at least six months before you stopped living outside the EU. Other eligibility conditions also apply.
-
Customs Documentation:
Malta Customs requires supporting documentation for transfer-of-residence claims. This can include passports, arrival documentation, a detailed signed and valued packing list, proof of living abroad during the preceding 12 months and the relevant customs documentation.
-
Healthcare:
Poland operates a health insurance-based public healthcare system. Employees and certain other groups are covered through compulsory health insurance, while other arrangements can apply depending on individual circumstances. Make sure you understand the healthcare arrangements applicable to your residence and employment status before relocating.
-
Employment and Work:
Moving to Poland for employment requires more preparation than travelling there as a visitor. Check which residence and work permissions apply to your circumstances and ensure any necessary documentation is arranged before starting employment.
-
Official Documentation:
Keep important paperwork accessible throughout your relocation. This may include passports, visas or residence documentation, employment paperwork, tenancy or property documents, healthcare information and the customs documentation associated with importing your household possessions.

Poland Removal FAQs
Foreign nationals living in Poland may need to register their permanent or temporary place of residence with the appropriate local authority.
If you register your residence in Poland for a stay of more than 30 days and don’t already have one, a PESEL number may also be assigned as part of the registration process. The exact requirements depend on your nationality and residence status.
Potentially, yes. Poland’s transfer-of-residence relief can apply to Polish citizens returning from a non-EU country as well as other people genuinely transferring their normal residence to Poland.
Qualifying non-consumable personal belongings generally need to have been in your possession and used at your previous residence for at least six months before the move. Other eligibility conditions and customs formalities also apply.
It depends partly on when your UK driving licence was issued.
Current Polish government guidance states that a valid UK driving licence issued on or before 31 December 2020 doesn’t need to be exchanged solely because you become resident in Poland and remains valid for the period for which it was issued.
Different rules apply to UK licences issued after 31 December 2020. If you’ve been resident in Poland for at least 185 days, these licences generally need to be exchanged for a Polish licence. It’s therefore important to check the rules applying to your particular licence when planning a permanent move.
Yes, provided the applicable pet-travel requirements are met.
Dogs, cats and ferrets travelling from Great Britain to Poland require appropriate identification, a valid rabies vaccination and the required travel documentation. Current Polish veterinary guidance states that a rabies antibody titration test isn’t required for pets travelling from Great Britain, provided the relevant conditions are satisfied.
Access depends on the individual address. Historic centres and busy urban areas in cities such as Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Gdańsk can include restricted streets, limited parking or locations unsuitable for a large removal truck.
If you provide your destination address and access information in advance, we can consider this when planning your removal and arrange a suitable vehicle or alternative unloading solution where necessary.
