What Our Customers Say About Us.
Why Choose Warsaw and Its Surrounding Areas?
Warsaw is Poland’s capital and largest city, offering the opportunities of a major European business centre alongside established residential neighbourhoods, extensive green spaces and excellent transport connections. For people relocating from the UK, the city provides considerable choice in where and how to live, from modern apartments close to the centre to quieter family districts and larger homes in communities on the outskirts.
The city has changed dramatically over recent decades. Historic areas sit alongside modern office towers, new residential developments and regenerated former industrial districts. Warsaw is also Poland’s principal centre for finance, technology, professional services, government and international business, attracting both Polish nationals returning from overseas and people relocating to Poland for work.
Popular Areas
Śródmieście is Warsaw’s central district and appeals to people who want restaurants, shops, offices, entertainment and cultural attractions within easy reach. Housing is predominantly apartments, so removals here can require more planning around parking, lifts, staircases and carrying distances.
Immediately south of the centre, Mokotów is one of Warsaw’s most established and sought-after residential areas. It combines apartments, older residential streets, parks and business districts, making it popular with professionals and families. Żoliborz, north of the centre, has a quieter and greener character, with attractive residential streets and good connections into central Warsaw.
Wola has undergone particularly significant redevelopment. Once known primarily as an industrial district, it now contains modern offices, high-rise apartments and major residential developments. Its proximity to the centre makes it especially attractive to professionals.
Across the Vistula, Praga-Północ and Praga-Południe offer a different character, combining older Warsaw architecture with regeneration, independent businesses and newer developments. Further south, Wilanów is particularly popular with families looking for modern housing, more space and access to international schools.
Beyond Warsaw itself, places such as Konstancin-Jeziorna, Piaseczno and Józefosław provide alternatives for people who prefer suburban living. Larger houses, gardens and quieter surroundings can make these areas attractive to families who do not need to live directly in the city centre.
Family Life and Schools
Warsaw has a broad choice of education, including Polish state and private schools alongside international and bilingual options. Several international schools cater specifically for families arriving from overseas, which can make settling into the city easier when children do not initially speak Polish.
Families frequently consider Wilanów, Mokotów and the southern suburbs because of their combination of schools, parks, modern housing and access to the centre. Warsaw also contains substantial green space, including Łazienki Park, Pole Mokotowskie and numerous smaller neighbourhood parks.
Restaurants, Culture and Social Life
Warsaw has a thriving restaurant and café scene covering everything from traditional Polish cooking to international dining. Śródmieście provides the greatest concentration of restaurants and nightlife, while areas such as Powiśle, Praga and Mokotów offer their own neighbourhood venues.
The reconstructed Old Town remains one of Warsaw’s most recognisable areas, but the city’s cultural life extends much further. Museums, theatres, concert venues, shopping districts and the Vistula riverfront provide plenty to do throughout the year.
Getting Around Warsaw
Warsaw has an extensive network of buses, trams, suburban trains and Metro services, allowing many residents to live outside the centre without relying entirely on a car. Warsaw Chopin Airport is the city’s main international airport and provides convenient connections with the UK.
The city is also a major road and rail hub, with good connections towards other important Polish cities including Łódź, Kraków, Poznań and Gdańsk.
Practical Considerations When Moving to Warsaw
The exact location of your new property can make a significant difference to the removal. Central apartment buildings may have restricted parking, underground entrances, small lifts or considerable carrying distances. Newer developments can also have controlled access, so arranging loading or unloading facilities with the building management in advance can be worthwhile.
Warsaw operates a Low Emission Zone, and its requirements became stricter from January 2026. Vehicle eligibility and the location of the property therefore need to be considered when planning certain deliveries into the city.
For customers with smaller consignments, Warsaw is well suited to part-load removals from the UK, allowing space to be shared with other customers travelling towards Poland. Larger household moves or customers requiring specific collection and delivery dates can choose a dedicated service instead.
We also provide removals from Warsaw to the UK, making the same options available to people returning home, relocating for work or moving their household belongings in the opposite direction.
Our Removal Services
Our removal services include dedicated vehicles and flexible part-load groupage options, allowing us to provide the right service for anything from a few boxes to a complete household move.
Dedicated Luton Van
Ideal for: Apartments, student relocations and smaller household moves.
Our dedicated Luton vans offer approximately 18m³ of loading space with a payload of around 1,000kg, making them an ideal option for smaller household removals. Our standard service includes an experienced driver who assists with loading and unloading, with a second removal porter available where required.
As the vehicle is dedicated solely to your move, your belongings remain on the same van from collection through to delivery, with no transhipping or sharing of vehicle space with other customers.
Their smaller size makes Luton vans particularly useful for city and town moves, apartments and properties where access may be difficult for larger removal vehicles. Protective removal blankets and securing straps are used to protect and secure your belongings throughout the journey.
Dedicated 7.5 Tonne Removal Truck
Ideal for: 2–3 bedroom family homes and medium-sized household removals.
Our dedicated 7.5 tonne removal trucks provide approximately 33m³ of loading space with a payload of around 3,000kg, making them well suited to medium-sized household removals where a Luton van doesn’t provide sufficient capacity.
The vehicle is reserved solely for your removal, with your belongings remaining on the same truck from collection through to delivery. There is no transhipping or sharing of vehicle space with other customers, helping reduce unnecessary handling during the journey.
Professional loading and unloading assistance is included, with additional crew members available where required. The 7.5 tonne truck provides considerably more capacity than a Luton while still being a practical option for many residential locations where access for a larger 18 tonne vehicle may be more difficult.
Dedicated 18 Tonne Removal Truck
Ideal for: Large family homes and complete household relocations.
For larger household removals, our dedicated 18 tonne removal trucks provide approximately 55m³ of loading space with payloads of up to 9,000kg, making them particularly suitable for substantial moves involving larger quantities of furniture, appliances, boxes and personal belongings.
The truck is reserved exclusively for your removal, with your belongings remaining on the same vehicle from collection through to delivery, without being transferred or combined with other customers’ consignments.
Professional loading and unloading is included, with the appropriate removal crew arranged according to the size and requirements of your move. Access is particularly important with a vehicle of this size, so we’ll assess this in advance and can discuss alternative vehicle or shuttle arrangements where direct access isn’t possible.
Dedicated Vehicle Service
A dedicated removal vehicle provides the most direct and flexible option for moving your belongings. Depending on the size and weight of your move, we can provide a Luton van, 7.5 tonne truck or larger 18 tonne removal vehicle reserved exclusively for your relocation.
Your belongings remain on the same vehicle from collection through to delivery, with no transhipping or consolidation with other customers’ goods. This reduces unnecessary handling and gives us greater flexibility when arranging collection, transit and delivery around your requirements.
Dedicated removals can also provide faster transit times than groupage because the vehicle is travelling specifically for your move rather than coordinating several customers’ collections and deliveries along the route.
This service is particularly suitable for customers working to fixed dates, relocating for employment, moving larger households or simply wanting a direct door-to-door service with greater control over their collection and delivery schedule.
Part Load & Groupage
Our part-load and groupage removals provide a more economical alternative to a dedicated vehicle and can accommodate anything from a few boxes and individual pieces of furniture through to larger or complete household removals.
By combining several customers’ consignments travelling along similar routes, transport costs can be shared between the different moves. This can significantly reduce the cost compared with reserving an entire vehicle, particularly where collection and delivery dates are flexible.
We’ll coordinate your removal with other consignments travelling in the same direction and provide an estimated collection and delivery schedule. Your belongings are carefully protected, clearly identified and handled professionally throughout the journey.
Groupage isn’t limited to small moves. It can also be a cost-effective option for larger household removals where you don’t require a vehicle exclusively for your belongings and can offer some flexibility with your moving dates.
Tailored to Your Move
Every removal is different, which is why we tailor the service around your individual requirements rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package.
We’ll consider the volume and weight of your belongings, access at collection and delivery, your preferred dates and the level of assistance required before recommending the most appropriate vehicle and service. This could be a dedicated Luton van, 7.5 tonne or 18 tonne truck, or a more economical part-load and groupage service.
We can also arrange professional packing, export wrapping and additional loading or unloading assistance where required. Secure short- or long-term storage can be incorporated into your removal if your collection and delivery dates don’t coincide.
Whether you’re moving a few personal belongings or the contents of a complete family home, we’ll build the service around your move and provide a quotation based on your particular requirements.
Our Removals Process
-
The Key Is Establishing the Volume
The first step is establishing how much you have to move. You can send us a list of the items, photographs or a WhatsApp video, and we’ll use this to assess the volume. If you already know the approximate volume or the type of removal vehicle you require, we can quote on that basis instead.
We’ll also need to know where you’re moving from and to, along with any important access information at either property. This might include restricted parking, narrow roads, stairs, lifts or anything else that could affect the collection or delivery.
Once we understand your move, we’ll prepare a clear quotation based on the service you need and work with you to arrange suitable collection and delivery dates. Where customs procedures are required, we’ll advise you on the documents we need from you and take care of the customs work associated with your removal.
Once everything is arranged, you can leave the rest to us. Our team will take care of the collection, customs procedures where required, secure transport and delivery of your belongings, keeping you informed throughout and making the whole process as straightforward as possible.

Key Considerations When Moving Abroad
-
Documents, Dates and Planning Ahead
When moving your belongings abroad, it is important to start gathering the documents that may be required for customs clearance. Requirements vary between countries and according to your individual circumstances, but commonly requested documents can include a copy of your passport, a detailed packing list, proof of your previous residence and evidence of your new residence abroad.
As a useful starting point, we recommend having proof of residence covering the previous 12 months, details of your new address and a clear inventory of the household goods you are moving. Additional documents may be required depending on the destination and whether you are transferring your normal residence. Your move manager will advise you on the documentation required for your particular move and help you through the customs process.
It is also worth establishing your moving dates as early as possible. Think about the earliest date your belongings will be ready for collection, the latest date you need to leave your current property and the earliest date you can receive your belongings at your new home. This helps us plan the most suitable collection and delivery schedule.
If there is a gap between leaving one property and gaining access to the next, you may need storage as part of your move. Let us know when discussing your requirements and we can take this into account when planning your removal.

Removals to Warsaw FAQs
What route do you use for removals from the UK to Warsaw?
Most removals travel from the UK into mainland Europe and continue through Germany into Poland before heading east towards Warsaw. The precise route depends on the UK collection point, traffic, customs arrangements and whether you are using a dedicated or part-load service.
How long does a dedicated removal from the UK to Warsaw take?
A dedicated vehicle provides the quickest option because the vehicle is allocated specifically to your move. Actual timings depend on the UK collection location, customs clearance, crossings, traffic and statutory driver hours. We agree the planned collection and delivery schedule with you before the move.
How do part-load removals to Warsaw work?
Your belongings share vehicle space with other customers moving towards Poland and nearby European destinations. Collections and deliveries are combined into an efficient route, making groupage particularly suitable for smaller moves where you have some flexibility with dates.
What customs paperwork is required when moving household goods to Warsaw?
Goods moving from Great Britain into Poland require customs formalities because the UK is outside the EU. The documentation and any applicable taxes depend on your circumstances, including whether you are transferring your normal residence. We can guide you through the paperwork required before transport.
Does Warsaw’s Low Emission Zone affect removal vehicles?
Potentially. Warsaw operates a Low Emission Zone covering part of the city, with stricter vehicle standards introduced from January 2026. We consider both the delivery address and vehicle being used when planning a move into the affected area.
Can a large removal vehicle access central Warsaw?
Not every property is straightforward to access with a larger vehicle. Central districts such as Śródmieście can have restricted parking, busy streets, controlled entrances and apartment buildings with limited loading space. We check the exact address and access arrangements before deciding on the most appropriate vehicle.
What information do you need if I’m moving into a Warsaw apartment?
Tell us the floor, whether there is a suitable lift, where the removal vehicle can park and the approximate carrying distance to the entrance. For gated or modern developments, it is also useful to check whether access needs to be arranged with building management in advance.
Can you deliver to areas outside central Warsaw such as Piaseczno or Konstancin-Jeziorna?
Yes. We cover the wider Warsaw area as well as the city itself, including surrounding residential communities. Give us the exact destination when requesting your quotation so that the route, additional distance and property access can be taken into account.
Should I book a dedicated vehicle if I need delivery in Warsaw on a particular date?
Usually, yes. Dedicated removals give us much greater control over the schedule because your vehicle is not coordinating collections and deliveries for several customers. Part-load services are generally better when you can accept a wider collection or delivery window.
Do you provide removals from Warsaw back to the UK?
Yes. We provide removals from Warsaw and the surrounding area to destinations throughout the UK. Smaller consignments can potentially travel as part loads, while complete households or customers requiring firmer dates can use a dedicated vehicle.
